To have a country free of the burden of cancer.
Years of
Fighting Cancer
The Uganda Rotary Cancer Program is on a mission to transform cancer care in Uganda. Founded in 2011, our goal is to provide life-saving early detection, specialized treatment, and ongoing support to those affected by cancer.
Thanks to our partnerships with St. Francis’ Hospital Nsambya, Centenary Bank, and others, we opened a state-of-the-art cancer ward in 2015. The Rotary Cancer Run, launched in 2012, has become a powerful force for awareness and funding.
But we’re not stopping here. We aim to build a fully specialized cancer treatment centre to offer world-class care to all Ugandans.

VISION : To have a country free of the burden of cancer.
In 2010, inspired by the leadership of District Governor Stephen Mwanje, Rotarians in Uganda set out to turn an ambitious dream into a life-saving reality. The goal? To create a dedicated cancer ward that would provide specialist treatment, early detection, and compassionate care for patients battling cancer. The vision was clear: build a Centre of Excellence that could save lives, reduce suffering, and bring hope to thousands who had been facing cancer without access to the vital care they needed.
To have a country free of the burden of cancer.
To have a comprehensive, sustainable & affordable solution for cancer.
